Maastricht,Netherlands Educational Hub 600kW/1.2MWh C&I PV + Energy Storage System
Project Background
Located in Maastricht-West, this educational hub is setting a benchmark for energy self-sufficiency in the Netherlands. Powered by SAJ’s CHS2 Commercial & Industrial PV and Energy Storage System, the site combines 1,500 square meters of rooftop solar panels with 12 CHS2 units operating in parallel—delivering a total capacity of 600kW/1.2MWh.
Project Benefits
With this setup, the facility is able to:
Closed-Loop Energy: Solar generation → battery storage → on-demand consumption achieves zero external energy reliance.
Resource Efficiency: Heat pumps powered by renewables enable eco-friendly heating/cooling.
Community Engagement: Interactive energy displays educate children and families on sustainability.
This project demonstrates how educational institutions can lead the energy transition by embracing innovative, scalable solutions for a greener future.
