From Product Power to Brand Power: A New Era of Relentless Energy Begins---SAJ Electric

Over a long period of time, the renewable energy manufaturers from China going global, to a very high extent, have been relying on just bringing their products to customers — attending trade shows, making visits, sharing specifications, and discussing prices. Deals get done, but the brand left nothing for memorizing.

SAJ Electric, a company with over 20 years history, has chosen a different approach lately.

I. Breaking Through with the Brand: Making the Market Remember SAJ Electric

Going global as a brand is not as simple as changing a logo or producing a film. It comes down to a simple question: Why will overseas markets remember you, trust you, and be willing to recommend you to the installers in their networks?

SAJ’s answer is a brand core: Relentless Energy.

Signing Alex de Minaur as global brand ambassador is a key part of that narrative. As Australia’s top-ranked men’s tennis player and a long-time ATP top-10 competitor, Alex is known for his relentless court coverage and refusal to give up. The precision, speed, endurance and forward drive that tennis demands are essentially the same as the “never back down, never stop, always on” spirit behind Relentless Energy.

Tennis attracts a substantial mid-to-high-end audience in developed markets such as Australia, Europe and North America — exactly where SAJ is focusing its efforts. By aligning with the sport and with a local athlete like Alex, SAJ wants to convey a clear message: We are not a Chinese manufacturer competing only on price; we are a company willing to invest for the long term.

At the event, Alex shared a thought that really resonated: whether on the court or at home with his family, he is driven by the same energy — never backing down, never stopping, always moving forward.

II. Channel Resonance: A Brand Is Built with Partners, Not Just Slogans

Brand building cannot rely on launch events and ambassadors alone. It must reach the channel and become part of installers’ daily business.

Andrew M., a long-time partner, left this comment after the event:

“It’s a pretty cool reminder that great partnerships are about more than just selling products — they’re about relationships and the experiences those relationships can create.”

SAJ currently works closely with three distributors in Australia. OSW is the foundation, with annual cooperation reaching 1 GWh. Supply Partners is a newly added core partner; CEO Patrick Morrissey said that SAJ offers strong products, stable fulfillment and mature manufacturing, making it a company worth partnering with for the long term. Another new partner, Tradezone, is Australia’s largest online electrical wholesaler, offering 24-hour online ordering and nationwide delivery, with a large network of electricians and solar installers. General Manager Robert Kingston believes that combining SAJ’s more than 20 years of technical expertise with Tradezone’s platform and distribution network will give Australian installers more choices.

Each partner has its own strengths and can complement the others. SAJ’s brand-building efforts — hosting SAJ Night, signing a global ambassador, providing product training and offering technical support — ultimately give channel partners more confidence to stand behind the brand. When installers see that SAJ is serious about building its brand, they can feel more assured when introducing SAJ to end customers.

III. From “Made in China” to a Global Brand: SAJ’s Deliberate Next Step

Viewed against the broader backdrop of Chinese renewable companies going global, SAJ’s move becomes even more interesting.

There are two common approaches in the industry today: competing on price to gain market share, or telling a brand story that can sometimes feel disconnected from the product, the channel and the customer experience. SAJ has chosen the middle path — neither competing on price nor telling a story in isolation, but gradually building its brand through real customer relationships and installers’ everyday experience.

SAJ already has a solid base in Australia and could continue to focus on sales volume. Instead, it has chosen to take the next step in Australia, one of the most stringent and demanding markets. SAJ is strengthening both its products and its brand, with the aim of gradually changing the overseas perception that Chinese renewable brands compete only on value for money.

On the brand side, SAJ has partnered with Alex de Minaur to bring the spirit behind Relentless Energy to life through his never-give-up attitude on the court; on the product side, it is building a stronger foundation with stringent certifications such as CEC and UL 9540A, warranties of up to 15 years, and an AI-driven energy management system; on the channel side, it is working with OSW, Supply Partners and Tradezone to bring the brand closer to customers through every channel touchpoint.

With brand marketing and market channels working together, and product globalization and brand globalization advancing in tandem, this step is more than a marketing adjustment for SAJ. It marks a gradual shift from “Just a Chinese manufacturer” to a global brand.
